Love, Joy, Peace...
Good day church.
Let's Be Fully Present

Greetings, church. We survived the month of February and all that beautiful snow. It always amazes me that some of our largest snow occurs late in the season. We have come out of the month of love. Hopefully, we had the opportunity to share that love with others throughout the month, and every day, not just on that single day. Let us ask God to continue helping us always share His love in all situations. We believe that true, perfect love can only come from God, and we attempt to follow His example -- to love one another.
We remember this love as we move into the season of Lent. Beginning on Ash Wednesday, we share how we have been called and set apart through the love of God. I remind us as we join on this journey on Wednesdays and Sundays, to be totally present in the Word of God and our walk with Jesus. Exciting things happened to end last month and to bring us into this month. Several ladies from our church and the church from Burns Flat enjoyed the weekend of spiritual growth at the Extraordinary Women’s Conference. I had the chance to join the Walk to Emmaus community at the end of the month. This experience helped me deepen my relationship with God and stoked the Spirit within me. It was a great weekend. One thing they kept repeating to those of us on this walk, was, “Don’t anticipate.” The journey was designed for us to stay fully present in the lesson being shared at that specific point. We were asked not to look ahead. I will confess, it did help me not to worry about what the end would look like, rather, to fully hear the speaker and focus on what was being presented.
Let us, through the next several weeks, seek to follow this process. Ask God every time you come into His house to reveal what He holds for us at this specific time. Sometimes this is not easy when we read and speak of stories and seasons that we are familiar with. Still, I know we can do it. I am excited about this Lenten Season and what God will share with us.

Seeking to join you on a fresh new journey,
